🏳️‍🌈 Margate Pride Tap Takeover 🏳️‍🌈 Open Midday - 11pm. This year we’re showcasing two breweries - @closetbrewing and @queerbrewing for our yearly tap takeover. Three beers on tap and two in can. 50% of profits are donated to @margatepride The Breweries 🌈 Queer Brewing is a queer- and trans-owned brewery whose aim is to increase visibility and representation for LGBTQ+ people through beer. They produce a range of beers, from an iconic witbier through to delicious pales and IPAs, and everything in between. Closet Brewing is an Edinburgh-based nano-brewery run by two queer women (and their tiny dog). Their emphasis is on quality vegan beers, queer community and keeping a local-minded, outgoing approach at the centre of their mission. The Beers 🌈 🔴 Tiny Dots - Pilsner - Queer Brewing 4.5% - On Tap 🟡 Bright Young Things - Watermelon Margarita Gose (sour) - 5.2% - Closet Brewing - On Tap 🟢 Butch - IPA - 6% - Queer Brewing - On Tap 🔵 Gal Pals - Lavender Pale Ale - 4.8% - Closet Brewing - Can 🟣 They’re Turning the Friggin’ Frogs Gay - American IPA - 5.8% - Closet Brewing - Can Xylo will be open from midday so come grab a table to watch the wonderful wall of colour and life pass by (parade starts at Walpole at 1pm). We’ve got extra sound and a disco tracklist all day. Make sure you check out as many of the amazing @margatepride events and associated parties as possible. Yeah us too, so we brewed this session NEIPA with all the same techniques and hop levels you'd expect in a standard NEIPA but with half the booze! ** New Beer ** Well, if the Margate TTO weekend wasn't enough for you, we've got another newbie landing on the taps today to get you through the Easter break! Kushty // 3.4% // Session IPA Keeping up with the volume of low abv you lot have been smashing is hard work, so we turned round a new batch in super quick time using a thermotolerant yeast strain to speed up the process, and slapped a heap of Motueka and Krush (cryo) in the mix to give us a super light and moreish lemon & lime summer session. We also decided to keep the badges on the fonts, something we hadn't ever done until the TTO..... Whaddya think?
